DGBA Board

President

The responsibilities of the President shall include, but not be limited to

  • 1. Oversee all activities of the league.
  • 2. Designate duties to the Dallas GBA Board.
  • 3. To run Dallas GBA Dallas GBA Board meetings.
  • 4. Serve as liaison between Dallas GBA and the gay and lesbian community, the city of Dallas and other organizations which the league is involved with.
  • 5. Serve as a liaison between Dallas GBA and NGBA regarding any matters;
  • 6. Foster growth within the organization as a whole;
  • 7. To set out future goals for the league while being mindful of the successes of the past;
  • 8. Work to support the initiatives of the Dallas GBA Board, as well as overall good sportsmanship and fun in the league.

 

Vice President

The responsibilities of the Vice President shall include, but not be limited to:

  • 1. Coordinate the season reffing, communication, and account payable for all referees.
  • 2. Coordinate Season: Captains, Draft, Schedule and Calendar Events for current and future Seasons.
  • 3. Coordinate all protests from team Captains and ensure communication of sanctions.
  • 4. Coordinate weekly website updates with all board members; and outsource advertisements and LGBT&Q events on website.
  • 5. Publish the weekly statistics and standings to the Dallas GBA website.
  • 6. Work to support the initiatives of the Dallas GBA Board, as well as overall good sportsmanship and fun in the league.

 

Statistician & Skills Coordinator

The responsibilities of the Statistician & Skills Coordinator shall include, but not be limited to:

  • 1. Evaluate the Skills of new and returning members to the organization.
  • 2. Maintain and enforce a current list of eligible substitutes for each division.
  • 3. Overseeing and enforcing team scorekeeping rule; in addition updating and emailing weekly statistics for all current players.
  • 4. Work to support the initiatives of the Dallas GBA Board, as well as overall good sportsmanship and fun in the league.

 

Treasurer

The responsibilities of the Treasurer shall include, but not be limited to:

  • 1. Keep a record and balance of Dallas GBA accounts. Inform Dallas GBA Board on current status of accounts.
  • 2. Working with President to develop season budget organizing costs into categories and comparing actual costs to budgeted costs;
  • 3. Ensure that all government paperwork is correctly completed every year;
  • 4. Look for ways to better use our resources; and
  • 5. Work to support the initiatives of the Dallas GBA Board, as well as overall good sportsmanship and fun in the league.

 

Secretary

The responsibilities of the Secretary shall include, but not be limited to:

  • 1. Take, distribute and maintain minutes for each Board Meeting.
  • 2. Remind Board Members of meetings, activities and other milestones.
  • 3. Work hands on with the Vice President to ensure information from meetings are displayed on the Dallas GBA website; Oversee the weekly publication.
  • 4. Update and maintain social media, communication and email alerts to season members.
  • 5. In charge of maintaining and updating current Dallas GBA Rules and Code of Conduct.
  • 6. Work to support the initiatives of the Dallas GBA Board, as well as overall good sportsmanship and fun in the league.

 

Registrar

The responsibilities of the Registrar shall include, but not be limited to:

  • 1. Maintain a current roster of players by division, including addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and birthdays;
  • 2. Oversee early and regular registration processes and ensure that players have signed waivers required by Dallas GBA.
  • 3. Coordinate with Treasurer to ensure that all players have paid dues and season fees.
  • 4. Oversee the design and printing of a season jerseys.
  • 5. Work to support the initiatives of the Dallas GBA Board, as well as overall good sportsmanship and fun in the league.

 

Marketing & Event Coordinator

The responsibilities of the Marketing & Events Coordinator shall include, but not be limited to:

  • 1. Outreach and schedule events per season for Dallas GBA community and social activities.
  • 2. Facilitate and ensure that Dallas GBA has adequate advertising in various venues such as the Dallas Voice, NGBA, DIVA, PSSA and other organizations where Dallas GBA has a presence.
  • 3. Update and maintain social media, communication and email alerts to season members.
  • 4. Design and create all advertising for social media, emails and posters for the community at large.
  • 5. Coordinate and plan the Draft Party and End of Season Banquet.
  • 6. Work to support the initiatives of the Dallas GBA Board, as well as overall good sportsmanship and fun in the league.
